We went for Josephine's 8-week appointment this week. She blew past the 10-pound mark and is now up to about 10 lb, 9.5 oz. Just two weeks ago she only weighed 9.5 lbs, so she's definitely been going through a growth spurt. So much for being worried about my milk supply! The doc says she's doing great and meeting all her developmental milestones. The hardest thing about this appointment was she got her first round of vaccines. It was hard to have that first experience of seeing your kid in pain. We had never heard that "pain" cry before and it broke our hearts. Josephine was pretty sleepy for a couple days, but she's back to her usual, smiley self now. Speaking of which, I'm trying to get some video of her smiling and cooing but every time I pull out the camera she gets very serious. We'll work on it and try to post something soon.
