We spent last weekend at our friend's beach house in Lincoln City, Oregon. Josephine was just wild about going to nature's biggest sand box. Girl can't get enough of digging at the park, so just imagine having such a vast expanse of sand...to dig! to move from here to there! to throw in the air! to build castles! Before we got there she was telling us how she was going to the beach to dig sand and put her toes in the ocean. The weather turned out to be gorgeous with sun, calm seas, and colorful sunsets. We even got to see some humpback whales feeding from the house's deck. Of course, the weekend was also full of fun times with dear friends. Many thanks to Phil and Audra for hosting us!

Since Ira's been born we've had lots of visitors and have already made several road trips. People ask if that's been stressful, but our most successful strategy to having two kiddos is to increase the ratio of adults to kids. And sometimes increasing the number of kids isn't a bad thing either. Two toddlers are much easier to entertain than one. And strangely they seem to mostly stay out of trouble when they're together. So...now we're looking to plan our next adventure. Who wants to come visit? :-D
