3 months

Well, we made it out of the "fetus" stage.  Josephine is officially a baby now.  She's having lots of fun discovering new toys, books, faces, and she loves to look at trees!  And the best part is she is sleeping 12 hours at night, with just one feeding.  Mom and Dad are especially happy about that.

Unfortunately Josephine has been in a Pavlik harness for hip dysplasia for the past 1.5 weeks.  Since breech babies commonly have problems with hip development, the docs did an ultrasound on her hips.  Although they're not too bad, the doc would like the ball of her femur to sit better in the hip socket.  So, this harness is supposed to hold her legs in the frog position so that the hip can correct itself.  Josephine is not a fan.  But, we've only got a few more days to go until they get checked again.  Let's hope that the ultrasound shows positive results and maybe we won't have to wear the harness during the day.

P.S. Thanks to Michelle for the beautiful quilt in these pics!
